Version V 1.1 - 24 August 2025
B2B Terms & Conditions of Sale and Supply
For customers acting wholly or mainly in the course of business. Version 1.1 – 24 August 2025
1. Definitions and scope
1.1 "Forest & Stone", "we", "us" or "our" means Forest & Stone Ltd, company no. 16410667.
1.2 "Customer" means the business or other person purchasing Goods and/or Services wholly or mainly for business purposes.
1.3 "Goods" includes bespoke cabinetry, furniture, joinery, CNC components, display/exhibition pieces and associated products. "Services" includes design, manufacture, delivery, installation, fitting and related work.
1.4 "Contract" means our accepted quotation/order confirmation, these Terms, the agreed specification, approved drawings and written variations.
1.5 These B2B Terms do not apply to a consumer.
2. Contract formation and precedence
2.1 A Contract is formed when we accept the order, accept a deposit/payment, commence work at the Customer's instruction or confirm acceptance in writing.
2.2 These Terms apply to the exclusion of terms contained in a Customer purchase order, procurement portal or other document unless expressly accepted in writing by a director of Forest & Stone.
2.3 Priority is: (a) written variation expressly agreed by us; (b) quotation/order confirmation; (c) approved specification/drawings; (d) these Terms.
2.4 Requirements or promises involving the Customer's own client, venue, consultant, carrier or other third party do not bind us unless expressly incorporated into the Contract in writing.
3. Quotations, price and VAT
3.1 Quotations remain open for the period stated, or 30 days if unstated.
3.2 Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
3.3 Unless expressly included, price excludes structural works, electrics/plumbing, decoration/making good, specialist lifting, parking/permits, storage, international freight, customs and work arising from undisclosed site conditions.
3.4 Customer-requested changes, abortive visits, delay caused by the Customer/third parties and additional work may be charged at agreed rates or, absent agreement, a reasonable rate.
4. Payment
4.1 Deposits and stage payments are due as stated in the quotation. Otherwise invoices are payable within 14 days.
4.2 The Customer shall not set off or withhold undisputed sums except where required by law.
4.3 We may suspend work/delivery while an undisputed overdue amount remains unpaid.
4.4 We reserve statutory rights to interest and debt-recovery compensation on qualifying late commercial payments.
5. Information, dimensions and design approval
5.1 The Customer shall disclose intended use, loads, destination, access, interfaces, environmental conditions, onward transport and any critical performance requirement before manufacture.
5.2 Customer-supplied dimensions, drawings, CAD, templates and specifications remain the Customer's responsibility except to the extent we expressly accept design responsibility in writing.
5.3 Approval of drawings/specifications/finishes authorises manufacture. Later changes may change price and programme.
5.4 Renders are illustrative; actual lighting, material grain, colour and appearance may vary reasonably.
6. Materials, finishes and tolerances
6.1 Natural timber, veneer, stone and similar materials vary in grain, colour, figure, texture and movement; reasonable variation is not a defect.
6.2 Timber and timber-based products respond to temperature and humidity. The Customer shall maintain conditions reasonably suitable for the specified materials.
6.3 Reasonable bespoke-manufacturing tolerances, joints, shadow gaps, batch variation and normal material movement are accepted unless a specific tolerance is expressly agreed.
6.4 Samples indicate general appearance and do not guarantee exact matching across natural materials or separate batches.
7. Programme
7.1 Dates are estimates unless expressly stated to be fixed contractual deadlines.
7.2 We are not responsible for delay caused by late approvals, changes, access, other trades, supply interruption, transport disruption or events outside our reasonable control.
7.3 Customer-caused delay may result in revised dates and reasonable additional charges.
8. Delivery, collection, risk and title
8.1 Delivery occurs on unloading at the agreed point or, for collection, when Goods are made available.
8.2 Unless expressly agreed otherwise, risk passes on delivery/collection. Title to Goods passes only when all sums due for those Goods are paid, so far as legally effective.
8.3 The Customer must protect Goods after risk passes and ensure suitable storage, handling and environmental conditions.
8.4 If delivery/collection is delayed by the Customer, we may store the Goods at the Customer's risk and charge reasonable storage/re-delivery costs.
9. Onward transport, export and exhibitions
9.1 Where the Customer or its contractor controls onward transport, repacking, export, storage or installation, the Customer is responsible for suitable handling, restraint, protection and storage after risk passes.
9.2 The Customer must tell us before order if Goods will be exported, used at an exhibition, stored unconditioned, or exposed to unusual temperature/humidity.
9.3 Packaging supplied for a stated journey does not make us responsible for later repacking, storage, onward journeys or conditions outside the agreed scope.
9.4 Where reasonably practicable, the Customer shall inspect and photograph bespoke Goods before crating and promptly after unpacking.
10. Installation and third parties
10.1 The Customer shall provide safe, clear, lawful access and a site ready for installation.
10.2 We are not responsible for loss caused by misuse, negligent handling, impact, unsuitable storage, incorrect third-party installation, alteration, other trades or carriers after risk passes, except to the extent the underlying loss was caused by our breach.
10.3 The Customer coordinates interfaces with third-party works unless we expressly agree otherwise.
11. Inspection and notification
11.1 The Customer shall inspect Goods as soon as reasonably practicable and, where relevant, before onward shipment, installation by others, incorporation into other works.
11.2 Visible shortage, damage or apparent defect should be notified promptly in writing with reasonable detail and photographs.
11.3 A defect not reasonably discoverable initially should be notified promptly after discovery.
11.4 Delay in notification may be relevant to causation, mitigation and evidential prejudice but does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Defect investigation and preservation of evidence
12.1 Where a defect is alleged, the Customer shall, so far as reasonably practicable, preserve the Goods, failed/removed components, packaging and relevant evidence and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect before repair, alteration, removal or disposal.
12.2 The Customer shall provide reasonable photographs, videos, dates, circumstances of discovery and relevant transport/storage information.
12.3 Nothing prevents reasonable emergency action needed for safety, to prevent material further damage or to meet an unavoidable operational emergency. Where practicable, the Customer shall first document the condition, notify us and retain removed components.
12.4 If the Customer or a third party materially alters or disposes of relevant evidence before a reasonable inspection opportunity, that fact may be taken into account when determining causation, remedy and recoverable loss.
12.5 Inspection, attendance or investigation is not an admission of liability.
13. Remedial work
13.1 Where we accept that Goods/Services are defective, or while liability is genuinely under investigation, the Customer shall where reasonable give us an opportunity to inspect and propose proportionate remedial action.
13.2 Subject to applicable law and the circumstances, we may offer repair, replacement, re-performance or another reasonable remedy.
13.3 The Customer should not incur avoidable third-party remedial costs without first giving us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and respond, except in a genuine emergency or where waiting would cause unreasonable further loss.
13.4 We are not automatically liable for the cost of wholesale replacement where a defect can reasonably be remedied by proportionate repair, subject always to the Customer's legal rights.
14. Upstream clients and commercial concessions
14.1 Our Contract is with the Customer. No third-party client acquires rights against us unless expressly agreed or required by law.
14.2 A refund, discount, credit, replacement, compensation, free repair or other commercial concession voluntarily offered by the Customer to its own client does not, by itself, establish our liability or the amount of any loss recoverable from us.
14.3 The Customer shall consult us before committing us to, or seeking reimbursement for, material upstream settlements where reasonably practicable.
15. Liability
15.1 Nothing in the Contract excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15.2 Subject to clause 15.1 and to the extent legally enforceable, we shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, anticipated savings, contracts, goodwill or reputation.
15.3 Subject to clause 15.1 and to the extent legally enforceable, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with a Contract, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation or otherwise, shall not exceed 100% of the net price payable under the Contract giving rise to the claim.
15.4 The exclusions and cap are intended to allocate commercial risk between business parties and are subject to any statutory reasonableness requirement. The Customer is responsible for arranging insurance for risks above the agreed allocation.
15.5 Nothing in these Terms limits the Customer's duty to take reasonable steps to mitigate loss.
16. Cancellation and variations
16.1 Bespoke work may involve non-recoverable design time, labour and committed materials. If the Customer cancels after order, it shall pay for work performed, materials ordered/committed and reasonable unavoidable cancellation costs, subject to any specific cancellation schedule in the quotation.
16.2 Variations must be agreed in writing. We may require revised price and programme approval before proceeding.
17. Intellectual property
17.1 Unless expressly transferred in writing, our drawings, CAD/CAM files, CNC toolpaths, design details, methods and other intellectual property remain ours.
17.2 The Customer receives only the rights reasonably necessary to use the finished Goods for their agreed purpose.
17.3 Customer-supplied designs/material must not infringe third-party rights; the Customer is responsible for obtaining required permissions.
18. Force majeure
18.1 Neither party is liable for delay/failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, save that this does not excuse payment already due. The affected party shall take reasonable steps to minimise delay.
19. Termination
19.1 We may suspend or terminate for material breach not remedied within a reasonable written notice period, insolvency-related events where lawful, or persistent non-payment.
19.2 Termination does not affect accrued rights, payment for work/materials properly supplied or provisions intended to survive termination.
20. Confidentiality
20.1 Each party shall keep the other's genuinely confidential commercial information confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or reasonably required to professional advisers/insurers.
21. Third-party rights
21.1 Except where expressly stated, a person who is not a party to the Contract has no right to enforce it under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
22. Disputes, law and jurisdiction
22.1 The parties shall first try in good faith to resolve disputes by director-level discussion.
22.2 Either party may propose mediation before proceedings, without preventing urgent court relief.
22.3 The Contract and non-contractual disputes are governed by the law of England and Wales and, subject to any mandatory rule, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
23. General
23.1 If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect and the affected provision is treated as modified only to the minimum extent necessary where lawful.
23.2 A waiver must be clear and does not waive later breaches.
23.3 Notices relating to breach, termination or formal claims should be in writing to the addresses/emails stated in the quotation/order.
B2C Terms & Conditions
For private customers acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Version 1.1 - 24 August 2025
These terms do not affect the consumer's statutory rights.
1. Who we are and these terms
1.1 Forest & Stone Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company no. 16410667. Registered office: Highfields, New Road, Fundenhall, Norwich, England, NR16 1HG. Trading address: Unit 15, Wellesley Road, Tharston, Norfolk, NR15 2PD.
1.2 These terms apply where you are purchasing wholly or mainly for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession.
1.3 The Contract consists of our accepted quotation/order confirmation, these terms, the agreed specification, approved drawings and written variations.
2. Your statutory rights
2.1 We are under a legal duty to supply goods that conform with the Contract and to perform services with reasonable care and skill.
2.2 Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or replaces rights or remedies that consumer law says cannot be excluded or restricted.
2.3 Any commercial guarantee we give is additional to your statutory rights.
3. Quotation and contract
3.1 The quotation sets out the main scope, price, VAT treatment, expected payment stages and any exclusions.
3.2 A Contract is formed when we accept your order/deposit or confirm acceptance.
3.3 Changes to the agreed scope, specification, price or timing must be expressly agreed.
4. Designs, measurements and approval
4.1 We will use reasonable care and skill when providing design/measurement services within our agreed scope.
4.2 You must give us accurate information about your requirements, property, access and anything relevant that we could not reasonably identify ourselves.
4.3 If you supply measurements, drawings, appliance specifications or other information that we have not agreed to verify, we may rely on them. We will tell you if an obvious inconsistency comes to our attention.
4.4 Where we ask you to approve drawings, layouts, colours, materials or finishes, approval authorises us to manufacture on that basis. This does not remove our responsibility to comply with your statutory rights.
5. Natural materials and appearance
5.1 Timber, veneer, stone and other natural materials vary in grain, colour, texture and figure. Reasonable natural variation is part of the material.
5.2 Samples and digital renders help communicate appearance but screens, lighting and natural material variation mean they cannot guarantee an exact visual match.
5.3 We will nevertheless supply goods that meet the Contract and applicable statutory quality requirements.
6. Price and payment
6.1 The price and payment stages are stated in the quotation. VAT will be dealt with as stated and as required by law.
6.2 Additional work requested by you will be priced and agreed before being carried out where reasonably practicable.
6.3 We may pause work for overdue undisputed payments after giving reasonable notice, provided doing so is lawful and proportionate.
7. Timescales
7.1 We will perform the Services within the agreed time or, where no time is agreed, within a reasonable time.
7.2 If events outside our reasonable control delay performance, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect.
7.3 If delay becomes significant, your legal rights may include rights to end the Contract in appropriate circumstances; these terms do not remove those rights.
8. Access and installation
8.1 You must provide safe and reasonable access and tell us about known hazards, concealed services or restrictions.
8.2 Unless included in the quotation, electrical, plumbing, structural, asbestos-related, decorating and making-good work are excluded.
8.3 We will take reasonable care of your property while carrying out our work.
9. Delivery, risk and care
9.1 We will deliver/install as agreed. Risk passes in accordance with applicable consumer law and the agreed delivery arrangements.
9.2 After delivery/installation, you should follow reasonable care and maintenance instructions supplied for timber, finishes, hardware and worktops.
9.3 Damage caused after delivery by misuse, impact, neglect, unsuitable environmental conditions or unauthorised alteration is not itself a defect for which we are responsible, but this does not affect rights where our breach caused or contributed to the problem.
10. Problems and defects
10.1 Please tell us promptly if you believe there is a problem, giving reasonable details and photographs where useful.
10.2 We may ask to inspect the goods/work so we can understand the issue and identify an appropriate remedy.
10.3 You should, where reasonably practicable, avoid unnecessary alteration or disposal of allegedly defective parts before we have had a reasonable opportunity to inspect. This does not prevent urgent steps needed for safety or to prevent further damage.
10.4 Any inspection or attempt to resolve a complaint does not reduce your statutory rights.
11. Consumer remedies
11.1 Where goods or services do not conform to the Contract, the remedies available to you are those provided by applicable consumer law. Depending on the circumstances these may include repair, replacement, repeat performance, price reduction, rejection/refund or damages.
11.2 We will not use these terms to impose a remedy that removes a statutory remedy to which you are entitled.
11.3 Where a repair/replacement/repeat performance is the applicable remedy, we will carry it out within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience as required by law.
12. Cancellation rights and bespoke goods
12.1 Your cancellation rights depend on how and where the Contract was made and on the nature of the goods/services.
12.2 For distance or off-premises contracts, we will provide the statutory cancellation information where a cancellation right applies.
12.3 The statutory cancellation right may not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. Whether that exception applies depends on the particular goods and Contract; nothing here removes a cancellation right that the law gives you.
12.4 If you expressly request that services start during an applicable cancellation period, we will obtain any consent/acknowledgement required by law. If you then cancel, you may be required by law to pay a proportionate amount for services properly supplied up to cancellation.
12.5 Outside statutory cancellation rights, if you ask to cancel bespoke work after we have begun design/manufacture or committed materials, we will discuss reasonable costs actually incurred and any savings resulting from cancellation. We will not impose an unfair cancellation charge.
13. Liability
13.1 Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud/fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
13.2 We do not exclude or restrict liability in a way prohibited by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other mandatory consumer law.
13.3 We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the Contract was made, except where the law provides otherwise.
13.4 We supply under these B2C terms for domestic/private use. If you use the goods/services for business purposes, business losses are not covered by this consumer Contract to the extent permitted by law.
14. Our intellectual property
14.1 Unless agreed otherwise, copyright and other intellectual property in our drawings, designs and manufacturing files remains ours. You may use drawings supplied to you for the purposes reasonably contemplated by your project but may not commercially reproduce our manufacturing files without permission.
15. Complaints
15.1 Please raise complaints with Forest & Stone Ltd at the trading address above or using the contact details shown on your quotation/invoice.
15.2 We will investigate complaints fairly and aim to provide a substantive response within a reasonable period.
15.3 Nothing in our complaints process prevents you using any statutory or court remedy available to you.
16. Law
16.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under applicable law.
Schedule 1 - ShapedByCNC CNC Manufacturing Terms
Integrated into the Forest & Stone Ltd Contract Pack - Version 1.1
Legal identity: ShapedByCNC is a trading name and operating division of Forest & Stone Ltd (Company No. 16410667). It is not stated in this pack to be a separate subsidiary company. All quotations, purchase orders, payments and contracts entered into under the ShapedByCNC name are with Forest & Stone Ltd. Registered office: Highfields, New Road, Fundenhall, Norwich, England, NR16 1HG. Trading address: Unit 15, Wellesley Road, Tharston, Norfolk, NR15 2PD.
Application: This Schedule applies in addition to the applicable Forest & Stone B2B or B2C Terms where the order includes CNC routing, machining, cutting, nesting, profiling, drilling, engraving, programming, tooling, jigs or related manufacturing services supplied under the ShapedByCNC brand. If this Schedule conflicts with the main Terms, the quotation/order confirmation and any expressly agreed project specification take priority, followed by this Schedule for CNC-specific matters.
1. Quotes, files and orders
1.1 Quotes are normally valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise and are based on the files, drawings, quantities, materials, finishes and tolerances available at quotation.
1.2 Revisions after quotation may require re-pricing and a revised lead time.
1.3 For CNC work, the latest production file expressly supplied or approved by the Customer before production will be treated as the approved production file unless otherwise confirmed in writing.
1.4 We may review files for obvious manufacturability concerns, but a file review does not transfer design responsibility to us unless we expressly agree to provide design or design-for-manufacture services.
1.5 Orders are confirmed in accordance with the applicable main Terms and quotation.
2. CNC payment terms
2.1 Unless the quotation states otherwise, ShapedByCNC CNC production may be quoted on an 80% payment before production and 20% payable on collection/dispatch basis.
2.2 Different account terms may be agreed in writing for repeat/trade customers.
2.3 Prices exclude VAT and delivery unless expressly stated otherwise.
3. Customer design responsibility
3.1 Where the Customer supplies production files, the Customer is responsible for design intent, dimensions, fit, mating components, clearances and specified tolerances except to the extent we expressly accept responsibility in writing.
3.2 ShapedByCNC machines the approved production information supplied. If information is ambiguous or appears materially unmanufacturable, we may pause and request clarification.
3.3 Repeat orders will normally be produced from the most recently approved production file held by us unless the Customer supplies and clearly identifies a new revision.
3.4 The Customer must maintain its own controlled copy of final production files and clearly identify revision status.
4. CNC tolerances and machining realities
4.1 Standard CNC/router tolerances appropriate to the material, machine, cutter and operation apply unless a numerical tolerance is expressly specified and accepted at quotation.
4.2 Tighter tolerances may require different tooling, workholding, machining strategies, inspection and pricing.
4.3 CNC routers use round cutters. Internal corners will therefore have a cutter radius unless dog-bones, T-bones/T-slot reliefs or another agreed method is included in the approved file/specification.
4.4 Cut edges may show minor machining/tool marks consistent with the material and process. Hand sanding, edge finishing, polishing, sealing or painting is excluded unless expressly quoted.
4.5 Small parts may require holding tabs. Unless secondary finishing/separation is expressly included, parts may be supplied tabbed into the original sheet and the Customer is responsible for cutting and flush trimming them.
4.6 Small internal features, slots and radii are constrained by cutter diameter and access. The Customer must identify critical features before production.
5. Nesting, sheet optimisation and grain direction
5.1 Unless otherwise specified, we may nest parts for material efficiency and production practicality.
5.2 Grain direction, face direction, book/sequential matching, orientation and show-face requirements must be clearly stated before production.
5.3 Offcuts from material purchased/provided by us remain our property unless the quotation says otherwise. Customer-owned material remnants will be dealt with as agreed.
6. Materials and customer-supplied material
6.1 Solid timber, plywood, MDF, veneers and other sheet materials can vary in colour, grain, density, thickness, flatness, moisture content and movement. Reasonable inherent variation is not a machining defect.
6.2 Material may move, warp, cup, expand or contract with moisture and environmental changes after machining. This does not exclude liability where the material choice or workmanship fails to meet an expressly agreed specification or applicable statutory standard.
6.3 Where the Customer supplies material, we cannot guarantee its internal quality, flatness, bond integrity, coating performance or freedom from hidden defects.
6.4 If customer-supplied material is unsuitable, defective or damaged during machining because of an inherent/hidden material defect rather than our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill, replacement material and repeat machining may be chargeable.
6.5 We may refuse to machine material that appears unsafe, contaminated, unstable or unsuitable for our machinery.
7. Veneers, laminates and coated boards
7.1 Veneers, laminates and coated boards can be susceptible to chipping, breakout or coating damage depending on material grade, construction, age and coating adhesion.
7.2 If a show-face or exceptionally high cosmetic standard is critical, the Customer must identify it before quotation so appropriate tooling, sacrificial layers, test cuts or finishing can be considered.
7.3 Protective film should normally remain in place until appropriate installation/finishing unless removal is required for machining or agreed otherwise.
8. Lead times, collection and storage
8.1 CNC lead time normally begins only when final production information is approved, required payment is received and necessary materials are available.
8.2 Lead times are estimates unless expressly agreed as fixed.
8.3 Completed CNC orders should be collected or dispatched within the agreed period. Storage beyond 14 days may be charged at a reasonable rate after notice.
8.4 Delivery, risk and carrier matters are otherwise governed by the applicable main Terms and quotation.
9. Inspection and CNC non-conformity
9.1 Business Customers should inspect CNC parts promptly and, where reasonably practicable, before machining them further, finishing, assembly, onward supply or incorporation into other products.
9.2 Apparent CNC non-conformity should be reported promptly in writing with the part/file reference, dimensions or feature concerned and photographs or measurements where relevant.
9.3 The defect investigation, preservation-of-evidence and remedial-work provisions in the main Terms apply. A Customer should not unnecessarily alter, discard or remachine disputed parts before giving us a reasonable opportunity to inspect.
9.4 Any remedy is subject to the applicable main B2B or B2C Terms and mandatory law; nothing in this Schedule removes consumer statutory remedies.
10. Changes and cancellations
10.1 Changes after programming, material ordering or machining begins may incur additional charges and affect lead time.
10.2 For B2B bespoke CNC orders, cancellation charges may include completed programming/work, committed material, custom tooling and reasonable unavoidable costs in accordance with the main B2B Terms.
10.3 Consumer cancellations remain governed by the main B2C Terms and mandatory consumer law; this Schedule does not impose a blanket non-refundable deposit on consumers.
11. Programming, tooling, jigs and fixtures
11.1 Our CNC programs, toolpaths, machining strategies, feeds/speeds, production methods, jigs and fixtures remain our intellectual property unless expressly transferred in writing.
11.2 Customer-owned designs remain the Customer's intellectual property subject to the licence reasonably necessary for us to manufacture the order.
11.3 Customer-funded bespoke tooling may be retained for repeat work or made available for collection where expressly agreed. Ownership should be stated on the quotation where material.
12. Confidentiality and production files
12.1 Customer production files and designs will be treated as confidential in accordance with the main Terms.
12.2 We will not knowingly reproduce a Customer's proprietary design for an unrelated third party without permission, except where independently designed or otherwise lawfully permitted.
12.3 We may retain production records/files for repeat manufacture, quality control and legal/business records subject to applicable data/confidentiality obligations.
13. Liability
13.1 Liability for ShapedByCNC work is governed by the applicable main B2B or B2C Terms. For B2B work, the liability cap and exclusions in the main B2B Terms apply rather than creating a separate or additional cap under this Schedule.
13.2 Nothing in this Schedule excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
13.3 In particular, this Schedule does not override statutory consumer rights or the statutory reasonableness requirements that may apply to B2B exclusions/limitations.
14. CNC machining notes
14.1 Internal corners: a round cutter creates a radius; square mating corners require an agreed relief strategy or secondary process.
14.2 Cutter diameter: internal detail cannot be sharper/smaller than the cutter and machining access allow.
14.3 Holding tabs: small components may remain tabbed to the sheet unless separation/finishing is included.
14.4 Grain direction: identify grain/face orientation before machining.
14.5 Edge finish: routed edges are machine-finished, not hand-finished, unless expressly included.
14.6 Material movement: timber-based materials can change dimension/flatness with humidity and moisture.
14.7 Surface protection: protective films should be retained where appropriate until installation/finishing.
15. Status of ShapedByCNC name
15.1 The wording used in this pack is “ShapedByCNC is a trading name and operating division of Forest & Stone Ltd”. “Parent company” is intentionally not used unless ShapedByCNC is separately incorporated as a subsidiary undertaking of Forest & Stone Ltd. If ShapedByCNC later becomes a separate company, these terms should be reviewed and the contracting entity amended before use.
